Add Cheesecake And You Get The Picture

Chrissy finds the coolest things to do. Wednesday night we went to Seattle - back to Gas Works Park -

to see Lullaby Moon.

It was definitely meant for kids, and I've never been really interested in theatre that deals in spectacle

without story or character development,

but it was visually stunning,

and I love that people do this kind of thing. I love theatre that's available to everyone - free and open and anyone can be a part of it. At one point some little kids ran onto the "stage," and it was no big deal, and at the end of the show they played music and encouraged everyone to join in; it turned into a big dance party for half an hour before they did the finale.

We brought a picnic dinner and a dog,

and we talked and walked around and took pictures. Despite the elaborate costumes

and spectacular use of the water,

it was a really casual, fun time.

I like myself a lot in that last picture. Yep, I'm awesome. So was that Lullaby Moon thing, but mostly because I was there.

I like theater based on spectacle and with as little character development as possible, since I can't pay as close attention as I probably should.

That looks like a blast, though. I totally woulda danced with one of those sexy horsey heads.

love it. wish I was there. Gas Works Park is absolutely post-apocalyptically creepy, I love it. Gotta love Seattle.

Spencer - Very Zoolander.

Sabayon - That's just its leash and a paper plate.

Elizabeth - Yes. It was lovely.

canihelpyousir - I find it harder to pay attention when there's no real story. Also, you find the horsey heads sexy? Well. Right. Not weird at all.

too_intensified - You have an open invitation to visit! I know you know that, but keep it in mind. we can take a photography tour of the city - you'd have a blast with your camera.
