There was an amazing sunset last night, but either I or my camera lacked the ability to capture it properly. Mmm, (contemplative eye squint), probably the camera.
This is the best I could get. See how glowy the windows in the building are? That's what the trees looked like, and anyplace the sun was hitting. It was raining just a bit and there was a faint rainbow in the sky. Did you know you can only see a rainbow if the sun is behind you? I'm not totally sure why, but I think it's probably because the light hits the raindrops and is refracted at such an angle that it will only hit your eye if the sun is behind you.
This possibly educational (or possibly totally incorrect) science post is brought to you by Friday and rainbows and time travel and muppets.
